Driver fatally hits 83-year-old man riding bike in Dade City
DADE CITY, FL – An 83-year-old man riding a bicycle lost his life after he was struck by a Honda Odyssey Sunday.
WFLA said this collision happened after 11 a.m. at the Withlacoochee State Trail and Trilby Road junction. Florida Highway Patrol said the cyclist declined to stop at a stop sign, which led to the crash. First responders took the 83-year-old man, a Zephyrhills, to a hospital, where he later died.
It is unclear if the driver, a 20-year-old woman, will be cited or charged for her involvement in this crash.
