NBC-2 said this collision happened at the Columbus Boulevard and Nimitz Boulevard intersection. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office, who assisted Florida Highway Patrol with this crash investigation, said they blocked both directions of Columbus.
Deputies have not provided an update regarding when they reopened all lanes, said what caused this crash, or clarified whether the minor was behind the wheel or a passenger. They did confirm, though, that an ambulance took the juvenile to a hospital.
