1 killed in left-turn wreck with bus in Orlando
ORLANDO, FL – A driver of a Lynx bus tried to turn left from southbound Econlockhatchee Trail onto Valencia College Lane and hit a car, leading to one person’s death Wednesday.
Florida Highway Patrol told WESH that while the bus driver was turning left, the car driver was traveling on northbound Econlockhatchee approaching Valencia College. After the vehicles collided, the bus then crashed into a concrete wall, and the car overturned.
The car driver, who was identified as a 19-year-old man, succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene, while the bus driver and five passengers were unharmed and did not have to go to a hospital.
