Car overturns in Orlando, killing one, hospitalizing another
ORLANDO, FL – A 16-year-old boy from Kissimmee lost his life, and another 16-year-old boy from Orlando was hospitalized after their car overturned Monday.
According to Click Orlando, at around 12:30 a.m., in the vicinity of International Drive and Tanglewood Bay Drive.
Florida Highway Patrol said the driver was about to turn into a private drive away when his 2006 Ford Fusion struck a curb. The car went airborne and collided with a traffic sign, then a community entrance sign and a tree prior to it rolling over.
As a result, the boys, who did not wear seatbelts, were ejected. First responders said the teenager from Kissimmee was the driver and succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene. Emergency crews took the other boy to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he is recovering from critical, life-threatening wounds.
