Trash truck driver causes injury multi-auto wreck at Christmas

CHRISTMAS, FL – A driver of a trash truck crashed into the back of a Honda Accord, leading the Honda to overturn and resulting in a collision with injuries involving two other vehicles.
This crash happened after 12 p.m. at the East Colonial Drive and St. Nicholas Avenue intersection, according to WESH. After the driver of the trash truck struck the Honda, they then hit a BMW X5 and a Dodge Durango, leading the BMW to spin and overturn, leading the BMW and Dodge to eventually come to rest on the side of the road.
The garbage truck driver and Dodge motorist were unharmed, while the BMW and Honda driver were taken to a hospital.
Florida Highway Patrol started an investigation and has not released other details at this time.
