Woman dies following car vs. cement truck crash on Florida’s Turnpike in Miami-Dade County
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – A woman has died following a two-vehicle crash Monday morning, July 22, on Florida’s Turnpike in Miami-Dade County, reports Local 10.
The fatal accident took place on the northbound lanes near Northwest 74th Street, just after 4:00 a.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a Hyundai sedan northbound when, for reasons still unclear, the vehicle struck the rear-end of a cement truck.
First responders rushed the woman to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
Crews had as many as three travel lanes blocked off during the response and investigation.
No further information has been made public at this time.
