Driver slams into utility pole, causing power outages in Winter Haven
WINTER HAVEN, FL – A driver of a gold Honda Accord crashed into a power pole on eastbound Havendale Boulevard, resulting in numerous power outages Sunday.
This solo collision occurred before 5 a.m., and the power outages happened at Havendale Boulevard, 20th Street, MLK, and First Street, according to Tampa Free Press.
Emergency crews who responded to the area closed the eastbound lanes of Havendale along 16th Street and told drivers in the area to take Lake Howard Drive instead.
First responders confirmed the driver was not intoxicated and managed to escape injuries.
