Man dies following pedestrian vs. car crash on Normandy Blvd in SW Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE, FL – A man succumbed to injuries suffered in a pedestrian collision Thursday morning in southwest Jacksonville according to First Coast News.
The incident took place in the area of Normandy Boulevard and Hammond Boulevard.
A crash report from the Florida Highway Patrol indicates that the victim was walking southbound on the outside shoulder above the outside lane. Moments after entering the roadway, they were struck by a sedan traveling westbound on Normandy Boulevard.
First responders rushed the male pedestrian to UF Health Downtown Trauma Unit, where he was later pronounced deceased.
