Teen motorcyclist injured in crash with school bus in Trinity
TRINITY, FL – A collision between a motorcycle and a school bus left a teenage rider seriously injured Tuesday afternoon, Fox 13 reported.
The incident occurred on Trinity Boulevard, east of Sweetspire Drive, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
A 16-year-old motorcyclist from Odessa was traveling behind a Pasco County school bus when the crash happened. The bus, driven by a 62-year-old Land O’ Lakes man, was carrying 42 middle school students.
Troopers said the school bus and other vehicles stopped for a pedestrian crosswalk signal. The motorcyclist failed to stop in time and collided with the rear of the bus.
The teen rider sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital. His current condition is unknown.
No injuries were reported among the bus driver or the students on board, FHP officials confirmed.
