Drivers fatally strike scooter rider in Temple Terrace
TEMPLE TERRACE, FL – A scooter rider was transported to Advent Health Tampa, where he passed away after he was struck by two vehicles Tuesday.
This crash happened at the East Fowler Avenue North 56th Street intersection as the drivers were crossing westbound East Fowler, and the scooter also crossed the westbound lanes, according to WFLA.
Upon arrival, Temple Terrace police and fire crews said the pedestrian had severe wounds. As such, an ambulance transported the pedestrian to a hospital where he died.
While the drivers remained at the scene, it is unclear if they will face pending charges or citations.
