Driver fails to yield, causes fatal crash with motorcycle in St. Pete
ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A 24-year-old woman driving a car did not yield to a motorcyclist at a stop sign and collided with the motorcycle, claiming her life and the motorcyclist’s Tuesday.
This crash happened before 11 p.m. at the westbound 46th Avenue North and Park Street North intersection, according to WFLA. The 24-year-old woman from St. Petersburg did stop at the stop sign prior to the crash.
The 24-year-old woman and the motorcyclist, identified as 49-year-old man from Mary Esther, succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene, while the passenger with the driver, a 23-year-old man from St. Petersburg, was hospitalized for serious injuries.
Florida Highway Patrol did not specify the severity of vehicle damage, when the car and Harley Davidson motorcycle collided.
