Female pedestrian loses life after crash at Oldsmar junction
OLDSMAR, FL – A woman crossing the Tampa Road and Pine Avenue North junction passed away at a hospital after getting hit by a vehicle after Monday.
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office told WFLA they responded to the scene after 6 a.m. Upon arrival, deputies closed the eastbound lanes of Tampa and north and southbound lanes of Pine for the scene clearance and investigation procedure.
Deputies did not confirm whether PCSO or Florida Highway Patrol will take the lead on this investigation. If PCSO does take the lead, then you can count on our newsroom to release the victim’s name once it becomes available. When investigations fall to FHP, then they do not publicly announce the names of victims who passed away in collisions.
