Scoot rider hospitalized after hit-and-run collision in Miami
MIAMI, FL – A 49-year-old man riding a scooter was sent to Jackson Memorial Hospital after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver of a car who zipped past a stop sign.
This collision happened at the Delaware Parkway and Northwest 20th Street intersection Monday, WSVN reports.
The victim was identified as Gilberis López- Hernández, who has had surgery on his knee and thigh. He has since been released from the hospital and is continuing to recover.
Authorities started an investigation and believe the suspect was operating a Chevy Camaro or Ford Mustang.
