Woman dies after running stop sign, causing rear-end wreck in Orlando
ORLANDO, FL – A 50-year-old woman driving a Kia passed away after she ran a stop sign and hit the back of a Toyota Corolla waiting at a red light before midnight Tuesday.
Prior to the collision, the Kia motorist was going south on John Young Parkway before proceeding through that stop sign posted along Destination Parkway, Click Orlando reveals. After the Kia made contact with the Corolla, the impact of that collision forced the Corolla to then rear-end a third vehicle.
Florida Highway Patrol said the second and third drivers were spared from injuries, while first responders rushed the Kia driver to a hospital. There, she died from her wounds.
FHP launched an investigation and has not publicly announced additional details pertaining to this overnight wreck.
