Truck hits pole in Naples, claiming one life, injuring 3 people
NAPLES, FL – Three people, including the driver, were injured, and a fourth passenger died when the motorist lost control of the truck and collided with a light pole on Monday.
NBC-2 said around 6:15 a.m., the driver, a 30-year-old man, a Naples local, lost control of the truck on the northbound Golden Gate Parkway on-ramp prior to striking the pole, which then caused the vehicle to overturn.
Florida Highway Patrol said the fourth passenger, a 27-year-old adult, also a Naples resident, passed away at the collision site. The three individuals sustained minor wounds, although it is unclear if they had to go to the hospital.
FHP launched an investigation and has not shared more details.
