Left-turn crash with truck in Sarasota claims life of motorcyclist

SARASOTA, FL – A left-turn collision between a pickup truck and a motorcycle claimed the life of the motorcyclist, an 18-year-old male teenager Sunday.

ABCAction News said the events unfolded around 1:30 a.m. when the truck driver was turning left from County Road 610 onto University Parkway. The impact caused the motorcyclist to hit the left side of the motorcycle, and the motorcyclist perished at the crash site.

Florida Highway Patrol said the truck driver was spared from physical harm but did not state if they would receive any citations or could expect criminal charges to be filed against them.
