FHP investigates injury wreck with trucks in Collier Co.
COLLIER COUNTY, FL – Florida Highway Patrol is working to pinpoint the details behind a crash with serious wounds that was between a garbage truck and a box truck Tuesday.
This collision happened before 8:15 a.m. on SR 29. NBC-2 said that once the vehicles collided, the box truck crashed into a ditch and sustained significant front-end damage and to the truck’s right side. The trash truck had a slightly bent roof and landed on the shoulder.
FHP and crews shut down both directions but have reopened the area since. Troopers indicated that at least one person sustained physical harm in this wreck but did not clarify if an ambulance or medical helicopter transported them to a hospital.
