Woman, 31, fatally struck by car in Orlando
ORLANDO, FL – A driver operating a 2025 Mazda CX-50 had drifted off Universal Boulevard and crashed into a tree before hitting a 31-year-old woman Monday.
Florida Highway Patrol told Click Orlando that this event unfolded before 6:45 p.m. and said that the driver, a 37-year-old man from Fort Lauderdale, struck the woman from Germany while she was waiting at a traffic light. Upon arrival, an ambulance transported the man and lady to Orlando Regional Medical Center. There, the woman succumbed to fatal wounds, while the man was set to receive treatment for serious injuries.
Preliminary details also show that in addition to hitting the tree and pedestrian, the driver, who wore a seatbelt, also slammed into several traffic signal support posts.
Troopers launched an investigation and have not mentioned any citations or pending criminal charges.
