1 life claimed, 1 critically hurt in pickup truck crash in Hialeah
HIALEAH, FL – One pickup truck driver was left in critical condition, and another also operating a pickup truck died when their trucks collided Wednesday.
This collision, involving a Dodge and a Ford pickup truck, took place around 5 a.m. near West Okeechobee Road and South Krome Avenue, according to NBC Miami. The two vehicles sustained significant damage as a result.
Florida Highway Patrol said it was the Ford driver who is recovering from critical wounds, while the Dodge driver passed away.
Due to the severity of this wreck, FHP and crews were left with no choice but to shut down the southbound lanes of Okeechobee Road, the Turnpike, and U.S. 27. No additional details have been added at this time.
