Driver airlifted to hospital after Immokalee truck collision

IMMOKALEE, FL – One driver was transported via a medical helicopter after a crash between a pickup and semi-truck north of Immokalee Regional Airport Friday afternoon.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office told FOX4Now this collision happened in the vicinity of State Road 82 and State Road 29. After arriving, crews shut down the eastbound lanes to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation period. During the closures, drivers were told to anticipate delays and seek alternative routes.
