Update: Male motorcyclist dies in I-75 crash in Wesley Chapel
WESLEY CHAPEL, FL – Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that it was a male motorcyclist who died in a crash that happened on I-75 around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
New details from FOX 13 News indicate the man attempted to overtake a Chevy Trax but rear-ended that car, which ejected him from his motorcycle. As a result, the motorcyclist, aged 37, succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene, while the car driver, a woman, sustained minor injuries.
Due to the severity of this wreck, troopers had to close the northbound lanes for several hours before reopening the area.
