Driver fatally strikes pedestrian in Port Charlotte
PORT CHARLOTTE, FL – A pedestrian lost their life when they were run over by a vehicle at northbound U.S. 41 and Collingswood Boulevard Monday.
Florida Highway Patrol told NBC-2 that they arrived at the scene around 5:45 a.m. An hour later, The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, who were among the first responders, said they, along with other crew personnel, shut down the scene to accommodate the scene clearance procedure.
Deputies started an investigation and have not released other information about this crash, which includes the contributing factors and the identity of the victim.
