ATV crash in North Fort Myers ends in man’s arrest
NORTH FORT MYERS, FL – A man attempted to steal an ATV, crashed into a gate, and fled the scene, which later led to his arrest Saturday.
NBC-2 said the man, Brandon Kolodeny, attempted to steal an ATV parked along Williams Drive. When Kolodeny hopped on the four-wheeler, that’s when he plowed through the gate (which was destroyed with the damage worth several thousands), and tried to flee the scene when he was apprehended by a Lee County deputy.
Since Kolodeny sustained injuries in the process, first responders took him to a hospital. Once cleared, Kolodeny took off once again and was later arrested once more.
Authorities said he has been “charged with grand theft, burglary and attempting to escape.”
