Big rig driver fatally collides with motorcyclist in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, FL – A tractor-trailer driver was pursuing a turn when he collided with a 38-year-old man riding a motorcycle, leading the motorcyclist to die from his injuries Saturday.

This crash happened around 1 a.m. on 103rd Street West close to Approach Road, according to News4Jax. Preliminary details show that the tractor-trailer driver, a 51-year-old man, was going in an outside lane while the motorcyclist was going in an inside lane.

While many other details about Saturday’s crash, including whether the big rig driver was injured, remain disclosed, Florida Highway Patrol did confirm that the motorcyclist succumbed to fatal wounds at the scene.
