Boy, 12, dies 4 days after Miami auto-pedestrian wreck
MIAMI, FL – A 12-year-old boy died after 8 a.m. Monday after he was struck by a vehicle around 7:30 a.m. Thursday while walking along Biscayne Gardens Elementary School.
According to WSVN, this collision happened in the 560 block of Northwest 151st Street. Upon arrival, first responders flew him via a medical helicopter to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
The preteen suffered a Bilateral lung collapse and was put on a ventilator.
The driver, an unidentified woman, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. It is not immediately clear if she will face charges.
