Boy, 6, loses life after ATV crash in Lehigh Acres
LEHIGH ACRES, FL – A 6-year-old boy died after he fell off an ATV after his driver failed to reduce his speed when approaching a ditch Sunday.
This solo ATV collision occurred after noon at Sunshine Boulevard on a dirt road, NBC-2 reported. The driver — a 29-year-old man — and the boy did not wear helmets.
The 29-year-old man sustained minor injuries. Emergency responders said they took the 6-year-old boy to Lehigh Regional Hospital, where he was later declared dead.
