Boy hurt after jaywalking, getting hit by DoorDash car in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, FL – A boy sustained injuries while he ran across a Fort Myers road without using a crosswalk and was struck by a DoorDash delivery personnel vehicle Wednesday. 

This incident happened on Fowler Street, and the boy was with his older brother at the time. NBC-2 said the boy’s brother and door dasher were unharmed, while the boy was transported to a hospital for his injuries. 

Fort Myers Police said the boy is expected to survive his injuries. Since the driver had the right of way, he would not face charges or citations.
