Car catches fire after crashing into median, palm trees in Cape Coral
CAPE CORAL, FL – A driver crashed into a median and some palm trees on the 4503 block of Del Prado Blvd., leading the car to catch on fire Thursday morning.
The flames were extinguished, and the impact of this collision led the black car to sustain significant front-end damage (which was towed away later), NBC-2 reported. However, officials have not confirmed whether the driver or passenger suffered any injuries.
Crews started to temporarily close some lanes after 2:15 a.m. to clear the scene. All lanes have reopened since.
