Car damaged in San Carlos Park hit-and-run
SAN CARLOS PARK, FL – A parked red car sustained significant damage after it was struck by a driver who fled the scene on Bartow Boulevard around 6 p.m. Saturday.
The NBC-2 news team said they were informed of this hit-and-run incident by resident Sal Amaya, who first heard the suspect crash into the car. Amaya didn’t say if he was able to get a glimpse of the suspect before they drove away, but he did say that the impact of this crash caused the car to be pushed several feet from where it was initially parked. No one appeared to have been inside the vehicle at the time of the collision, and no injuries were reported.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has not provided additional information at this time.
