Car hits tree as woman tries to park at Coral Gables parking garage
CORAL GABLES, FL – Coral Gables authorities suspect a woman unintentionally pressed on her SUV’s gas pedals as she tried to park, causing her to hit a tree Monday.
This single-vehicle collision happened on the third-floor parking garage located at 1567 San Remo Avenue, NBC Miami revealed. Footage showed her Porsche SUV partially hanging along the building. A tall tree also faced the garage, where the car perched up against.
Fire rescue crews extricated the either entrapped or pinned woman before an ambulance rushed her to the hospital for treatment of injuries that appeared to be non-critical.
Additional crews were summoned to the scene and showed up with a cane to remove the vehicle from the premises and structural engineers also were called to inspect the structural integrity of this building.
