Car hits tree in Naples, claiming four lives
NAPLES, FL – A driver tried to change lanes on I-75, causing her to drift off the median and hit a tree, leading her car to split and claiming her life and the lives of three others Saturday.
This solo collision happened before 6:30 a.m. on the southbound lanes near mile marker 110, WTSP revealed.
Prior to the woman striking the tree, she was traveling on the center lane, Florida Highway Patrol said.
Deputies said the car driver and two of her passengers passed away at the collision site, while one later died at a hospital. The fifth occupant, a 16-year-old boy, survived and is listed in critical condition.
