Car overturns in Orlando, claiming one life, injuring another
ORLANDO, FL – One 19-year-old man passed away, and another 19-year-old man suffered injuries when their Mazda MX-5 overturned Monday.
FOX35 Orlando said the driver, a St. Cloud resident, had tried to change lanes at the Florida Turnpike and I-4 (express lanes) connector and had lost control, causing him to crash right into the concrete barrier and thus resulting in the car overturning on its roof.
After arriving, Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that the driver perished at the crash site and said ambulance personnel took the surviving man, also from St. Cloud to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening wounds.
FHP said an investigation is ongoing. No other details have been released at this time.
