Car rear-ends Jacksonville bus, claiming man’s life
JACKSONVILLE, FL – A man in his 50s succumbed to fatal wounds after he rear-ended a JTA bus with his Ford Focus Thursday.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office told First Coast News that this occurred around 11 a.m. when the bus was unloading bus passengers. After arriving, ambulance personnel rushed the car driver to a hospital, where he passed away. Out of the six bus passengers, one sustained minor wounds.
Due to the severity of this wreck, crews and first responders had to close southbound University Boulevard North to accommodate the standard scene clearance and investigation process.
