Child dead after falling out of moving vehicle in Tampa
TAMPA, FL – A 5-year-old child later succumbed to fatal injuries after falling out of a moving vehicle Thursday afternoon.
The incident occurred after 3:30 p.m. in the area of North 50th St. and East 23rd Ave., WTSP reported.
A driver of a 2007 Nissan Titan turned right on the northbound lanes of N 56th St., and the 5-year-old child, who was not wearing a seatbelt, opened the back left door and fell out.
The driver of the vehicle stopped, and the father picked up the kid.
The child was hospitalized, where he or she later died.
The two other children in the back seats wore seatbelts.
No one else was injured.
