Collision claims at least 1 life on NW 27th Ave in NW Miami-Dade
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL – At least one person died as a result of a collision Monday morning, July 15, on Northwest 27th Avenue in Northwest Miami-Dade, reports WSVN.
The fatal incident was reported at the intersection with 68th Street, prompting a response from the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner shortly after.
Preliminary details indicate a car struck a concrete pillar of the Metrorail. 7Skyforce news crews were able to provide aerial footage of the scene, which showed a tow truck arriving to remove the mangled vehicle.
Officials indicated that the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A section of Northwest 27th Avenue was shut down in both directions during the emergency response and investigation.
