Collision closes lane on southbound I-95 in SE Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, FL – Emergency crews were dispatched to a vehicle crash late Thursday on Interstate 95 in southeast Jacksonville, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The accident happened on the southbound lanes at mile marker 346, before University Boulevard West in the city’s Englewood neighborhood. It was first reported shortly before 11:18 p.m.

Very few details have been made available at this time, but the scene had the left lane blocked.

Local officials have not yet indicated the number of vehicles involved or whether anyone was seriously hurt.
