Collision, delayed construction causes backup on I-75 in NE Naples
NAPLES, FL – Commuters faced long delays Thursday morning on Interstate 75 in northeast Naples that was attributed a crash and continued work at a nearby construction site, reports WINK.
The accident was reported on the northbound lanes at Pine Ridge Road at around 6:00 a.m.
While no specific details about the wreck has been made available, motorists said the scene only compounded traffic that was already present in the area due to construction work that was going on past 6:00 a.m., the time scheduled by the Florida Department of Transportation.
Because of the crash scene and the delayed construction work, two travel lanes remained closed to traffic until well past peak morning commute.
