County fire crews put out semi-truck fire outside Tampa Walmart
TAMPA, FL – The Hillsborough County Fire Rescue were able to extinguish the flames of a semi-truck outside of Walmart Supercenter on Gunn Highway Thursday.
At around 8:30 p.m., a 911 caller said smoke started coming from the tractor-trailer (carrying Walmart’s empty wood pallets) and was slowly approaching the store, according to WFLA. Crews ventilated the smoke, and the driver of the 18-wheeler and surrounding individuals were able to walk away from this incident unscathed. Officials have yet to disclose the exact cause of the fire.
