Crash between Lee Co. sheriff’s car, U-haul reported in Palmona Park
NORTH FORT MYERS, FL – A driver of a U-haul collided with a Lee County Sheriff’s patrol car in the Palmona Park suburb around 10 p.m. Thursday.
As indicated in an NBC-2 report, the police cruiser sustained some significant front-end damage. A person was found underneath the U-haul, and no one was harmed.
It is unclear if the U-haul driver fled the scene, as officials scoured the area in the hopes of finding the motorist.
