Crash with pole in Miami prompts power outage
MIAMI, FL – A driver crashed into a power pole outside a U.S. Postal Office, leading to significant vehicle damage and a power outage Monday morning.
The collision took place at the 8880 block of SW 8th St., WSVN reported. The building itself was not damaged, nor did the power shut down. However, an estimated 100 to 500 people in the surrounding area experienced no power.
At the time of this writing, crews were working to replace the former utility pole.
As seen in the photos, a black car had some serious front-end damage. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the collision.
