Crash with pole, wall in Largo injures 1, kills another
LARGO, FL – A 30-year-old man died, and a 26-year-old man was injured when a driver lost control of the car and struck a utility pole and a block wall Tuesday.
Tampa Bay Times said this collision happened before 10 p.m. on Starkey Road when the 26-year-old man, the driver, traveled at a high rate before hitting the items mentioned, causing the car to split in half. The 26-year-old man and his passenger, the 30-year-old man from Apalachicola, were sent to the hospital. There the 30-year-old man succumbed to fatal injuries.
The men did not wear their seatbelts.
