Cyclist dies in collision with semi in Orlando
ORLANDO, FL – A bicyclist attempted to cross Orange Avenue off a marked crosswalk and collided with a semi-truck, leading to their death Thursday.
Click Orlando said this collision occurred after 6 a.m. near Prince Street. The semi-driver, who was identified as a 52-year-old man from Tarpon Springs, remained at the scene and was able to walk away from the crash unharmed.
Florida Highway Patrol closed the northbound lanes of Orange Avenue for the scene clearance and investigation.
