Cyclist fatally struck by car in Dania Beach
DANIA BEACH, FL – A male cyclist was sent to Memorial Regional Hospital, where he later passed away after getting struck by a 2018 green Nissan Altima Sunday.
CBS News said this crash happened before 7:30 p.m. when the cyclist coming from Southwest 37th Avenue entered westbound Sterling Road and then collided with the moving car coming from Sterling and entering SW 37th. Immediately following this initial crash, a 79-year-old man, from Hollywood, proceeded to rear-end the Nissan with his 2008 black Toyota Corolla.
First responders did not say if the drivers were wounded nor specified other details behind this wreck but did confirm that speed and intoxication were not among the contributing factors.
