Cyclist fatally struck by hit-and-run driver near Ives Estates Park
MIAMI, FL – A cyclist, a 20-year-old woman, succumbed to fatal injuries in a hit-and-run crash near Ives Estates Park Sunday.
Local 10 said that Miami-Dade Police believe it was a driver of a gold 2007 to 2013 four-door Toyota Tundra that hit the cyclist and then fled the scene.
The woman — Maria De Souza — had ridden an electric bike and was rushed over to HCA Florida Aventura Hospital, where she died.
