Cyclist hit by vehicle, airlifted to hospital in East Naples
EAST NAPLES, FL – First responders flew a cyclist via a medical helicopter to a hospital after they were hit by a driver before 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Florida Highway Patrol told NBC-2 that this collision took place at the Andrew Drive and U.S. 41 junction. Troopers blocked off the westbound lanes of U.S. 41 to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation process.
Troopers did not provide an update regarding the cyclist’s current condition or reveal if the cyclist or motorist would be charged or cited for their involvement in this collision.
