Cyclist in critical condition after crash in Coral Way
MIAMI, FL – A cyclist ended up at Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition after getting hit by a car in Coral Way Tuesday.
This collision happened around 5:30 a.m. near the intersection of Southwest 27th Avenue and 22nd Street, reports Local 10.
Miami Fire Rescue and Miami police were summoned to the wreck site and immediately shut down the intersection upon arrival to accommodate the screen clearance and investigation process. Paramedics then took the bicyclist, a 60-year-old man, to Jackson Memorial.
While an investigation was launched, police were not able to confirm the details behind this serious crash. However, they were able to say definitely that the driver did remain at the scene. No charges or citations have been mentioned.
