Cyclist loses life after crash with SUV in Dunedin
DUNEDIN, FL – A 34-year-old man riding a bicycle with no lights suffered fatal injuries when he was hit by an SUV driver on Patricia Street after 11 p.m. Thursday.
The crash was brought on when cyclist Samuel McVicker attempted to cross the southbound lanes along Virginia Street and when he was struck, WFLA reported. McVicker was sent to a hospital, where he was later declared dead.
Pinellas County deputies confirmed that speed and impairment did not contribute to this crash.
