Deputy helps person escape water-filled vehicle in North Fort Myers

NORTH FORT MYERS, FL – A passenger was trapped inside their submerged and overturned vehicle in a ditch but were able to escape thanks to aid from a Lee County deputy.

This incident took place Sunday, according to WSVN. The driver was able to escape without help from the deputy. It is unclear if they were injured, but officials said they were expected to be OK.
