Driver detained after crash with tree in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, FL – A driver crashed into a tree at the South Tamiami Trail and Michael G. Rippe Parkway junction and was detained Thursday, NBC-2 reported.

Signs and damage to the roadway were sustained. Officials have not revealed the cause of this collision, why the driver was detained, if anyone was injured, and other details surrounding this single-vehicle wreck.
