Driver dies after crashing into ditch in North Fort Myers
NORTH FORT MYERS, FL – A driver of a red Chevrolet Camaro died after he lost control of his vehicle, drifted off a road, and crashed into a ditch Saturday.
The collision occurred on Hancock Bridge Parkway, adjacent to Moody Road. The impact of the crash caused the man to strike a metal railing, which came down, NBC-2 reported.
The force of this wreck either pinned or entrapped the driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle. Medics were able to free him, however, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Florida Highway Patrol is examining this incident and has not indicated additional details.
